Vice President, Contracts and Compliance

MarCom Group continues to grow in a significant and sustained manner. The Vice President, Contracts and Compliance will be responsible for the review and execution of all prime, sub, and corporate vendor contracts. This person will work with and inform the Chief Financial Officer, Account Directors, and Functional Managers of the contractual obligations and will ensure required reporting is accomplished. This individual will oversee human resource compliance and initiate and oversee process improvement efforts to streamline and facilitate human resource tools and processes. Finally, the Vice President, Contracts and Compliance will initiate and oversee other corporate initiatives to establish and implement consistent policies and procedures. In the near term, these initiatives will focus on internal corporate processes and procedures to include information security. 

The Vice President, Contracts and Compliance will be an integral person in MarCom Group’s continued growth efforts. This individual will bring corporate maturity experience and expertise to MarCom Group and will be the primary individual responsible for initiating and overseeing corporate maturity projects.


  • Works directly with the Chief Financial Officer and Production Manager to review/execute new contracts and to ensure their proper entry in MarCom Group’s timekeeping and project management system.
  • Conducts Contract Overview briefs with Account Leads and Functional Managers to ensure familiarity with the Statement of Work, Contract Deliverables, and other applicable contractual requirements.
  • Ensures all required contractual reporting is accomplished per the FAR, DFARS, HSARS, GSA schedule, and contract-specific requirements. Will develop and maintain a master schedule of the reporting requirements.
  • Assesses the need for, initiates, and oversees corporate project improvement initiatives.
  • Creates work-flow diagrams for Corporate Support processes.
  • Participates in Production and Corporate Support meetings.
  • Builds relationships with clients and partners to establish positive working interactions and ensure timely and effective contracting actions.
  • Serves business development efforts by interfacing with Systems for Award Management (SAM), BETA-SAM, and necessary GSA portals.
  • Communicates clearly, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of assessing gaps in performance and execution and developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of evolving information security standards and requirements for government contractors and applies that knowledge to protect MarCom’s physical, intellectual, and IT security systems.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of, experience with, and skill in dealing effectively with contracts involving FAR, DFARS, HSARS, GSA Schedules, Information Security Standards to include DoD’s new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, NIST 800-137, ISO-9001, ISO-27001, DCAA compliant timekeeping, and project management systems.

Education and Experience

  • Either a BA or BS degree and 10 years of experience or 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Included as part of either that 10 or 15 years of minimally required experience is:
    • Five (5) plus years that must have included overseeing prime contracts and subcontracts for federal clients
    • Five (5) years of which must have included implementing information security standards for government contractor organizations
