The Senior Copywriter will be an important element in MarCom Group’s continued growth. This writer will bring significant advertising agency experience to MarCom’s copy team and will be responsible for enhancing our creative output and helping advance MarCom Group’s reputation as a strategic and innovative ad agency.


  • Conceptualize, develop, and refine original content that communicates in a memorable and compelling way.
  • Devise communication concepts and campaigns to meet awareness and promotional goals that adapt on all communications platforms.
  • Attend internal and client meetings and briefings to understand and articulate client or project objectives.
  • Participate in defining advertising goals and development of creative briefs.
  • Present concepts and creative materials at internal and client presentations using well-reasoned rationale rooted in strategic motivations.
  • Collaborate with the creative director, members of the creative team, and project managers to brainstorm creative solutions in both message and campaign delivery to achieve or surpass the client’s business objectives.

The Senior Copywriter will:

  • Be self-motivated with an eye toward personal growth, self-improvement, and mentoring junior copy staff
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task and work on numerous assignments simultaneously, often with quick-turn deadlines
  • Perform the necessary step of quality assurance to ensure the production of error-free copy

Education and Experience

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual creativity and real-world problem-solving
  • At least five years of ad agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Creative Writing, Communication, or related disciplines is highly desired
